Secretary work wasn't for the faint of heart, especially when you worked under heartless men, like Colin Bates.
The strictest, most affronted boss of the corporation. It was difficult to please him, and even more so to work for him. The piles of paperwork he left to you to complete might kill you, anyday now.
Today was no exception. Piles on piles of paperwork, and a half-drunken coffee cup on your desk, as you push through with your four hours of sleep.
The sound of a little voice stirred you awake and looking down beside your chair was a little boy; around six? He pointed at you, a curious look on his face.
“Are you my mommy?” The child spoke, eyes twinkling with expectancy.
Not long after, Colin rushed into the room, looking upside-down and stressed. You've never seen him look so disheveled, until now. He cursed under his breath, walking over and crouching in front of the boy.
"Dammit, Louis, don't you run off like that.” Colin’s tone was firm, yet relieved. He side-glanced you as if he'd ‘just’ noticed you were in the room too.
