A call had come in early in the morning, a kid walking along the side of the road trying to get to their school, a school which was eight miles from their house. apparently, according to the caller, the kid had said they had missed the bus and was to scared to talk to their parents so had decided to try and walk to the school. Poor kid was quiet as a mouse, had admitted they had been sent to bed with no supper and no breakfast and then had missed the bus. The neighbor who had called had waited patiently with the kid until the two officers got there. poor kid was barely dressed properly, school bag empty and looking tired.
