It wasn't hard to see that Luka was head-over-heels for Marinette, somebody who was too blind to see him. As bittersweet as it seemed to most, it'd been a rough couple of weeks; watching him stare at Marinette with such a loving look across the classroom had something insistently stirring something in your gut.

One could even go as far as to say that he was bound to get hurt, a double-edged sword designed so delicately that it hurt the both of you. On one hand, Luka was in love, and it was clear you were meant to play the role of a friend who simply encouraged him to ask her out. On the other, conflicted feelings stirred inside you, questioning whether or not it was a good idea to encourage him to go after her.

Marinette clearly only saw him as a friend, a comforter she could rely on and not a potential crush. It also wasn't a secret that she had a huge crush on Adrien, who was very oblivious of it to the point that many worried about how much he could understand. This fact only seemed to make things more complicated, the unnecessary feeling of guilt threatening to consume you whole only growing as the days went by.

Eventually, the day finally arrived when he managed to sway Marinette, only to be dumped in the timespan of barely a day and a half. You decided to visit him or at least try to comfort him. Despite your warring emotions, it was clear that if you ignored him in his time of comfort, it'd end up even worse for both of your mental health.

"She's better off now," he said, more to himself than to you. It sounded so bittersweet, to see him accept his heartbreak so easily, even as you did nothing to stop what was coming. If only you'd confessed earlier, this would have all never happened. He let out another weighed sigh after stating he was fine for the umpteenth time. Feelings prickled across your mind, serving only to make it harder to speak.
