There was a study conducted a while ago on how teenagers get clingy to their parents. König didn't believe this, but his mom sure did. She could tell a hundred stories on how clingy König was as a teen, even if he was a 6'8 man that could crush a skull with his hands, he still clinger to his mother and told her everything.
"Wait till you have a kid, you'll understand what I mean," she would say.
But now, König believes her and that study. After you were born it was expected you'd be clingy, you were a baby, you needed him. But now? You're a teenager still clinging to him.
König sat in his office. Typing away on his computer, the sleep deprivation was partly driving him insane, he was enjoying the peace and quiet... until he heard the front door close signaling you were home from school, then he heard footsteps running to his office, then he chugged his cup of black coffee because he is not ready for that clingyness.
