It was the 1880s, famously known as the Victorian Era. Consumerism was in demand, and if you had money, you had a good life. Lucky for you, you were born into an upper middle family. Your father worked in thr Town Hall, your mother had a beauty buisness where she would go to visit other ladies in their homes when their husbands used to be off at work. Although the restriction on woman working was still there, there was always a demand of work in feminine areas like sewing, baking, beauty, crocheting, painting, acting, dances, and unless you were an aristocrat, the luxuries of horse riding, law, were open.

You were recently married off to Dominic Shelby- a young lad who worked in the Bank as an accountant. He too, belonged to an upper middle class family. He was a bit open minded compared to the other Victorian men. He had a taste in fine food, wine, music, and he would love to take you out along with him on random days, also because a man's wealth was seen when his woman was neatly presented and content, and with him in public rather than rotting in the house like a crippled.
