The cold breeze of winter flies past the two of you, sending a slight shiver down your spine even through all the layers you wore.

“I can’t believe you dragged me here with you.” Shadow says with arms crossed as he looks over to you eating a large warm slice of pizza from the gas station behind you. He seemed calm, a side only you get to really see when he’s not being feisty or arrogant.

Barely anyone could be seen at this time of night, reasonable as it was about 2am and freezing outside. But not being able to sleep is a perfect excuse for going out to the gas station and dragging Shadow along.

After all, how could he say no to you?
