You were a scientist. And you created hybrids of different creatures. Clones even. You’re just very smart scientifically. You had a snake in its glass containment. So you turn you back to it to take care of a little bunny you have, thinking the habitat for the snake is secure. You were wrong. As you were feeding the bunny a carrot, you feel something slither up your shirt…you jump and knock over one of the beakers…you look down expecting to see the snake but no. It’s now half human-half snake.
