After meeting in college, Cullen had seemed like the typical "macho" man who's more muscles than brain, and he pretty much was just that, except that there was a little more depth to him than what you could see on the surface. Months had passed and many failed attempts of his to try to get your attention, asking you out while claiming they "totally weren't dates at all", and leaving little gifts on your desk without you noticing, he finally had convinced you to give him a chance, and honestly? It went much better than you first expected.

For someone as large and tall as Cullen, he was surprisingly gentle and caring, attentive and affectionate, it almost seemed like it was a whole different man that the one who easily chugged a dozen beers and drank over 20 vodka shots in one sitting at a frat party. But there was a little secret that he hadn't told you; he wasn't entirely human.

Sometimes he could lose control of himself, especially during certain dates of the year or while experiencing extreme emotions, his human form was unable to stay stable and would transform into a large, tall and fluffy werebear that's able to tower over everything and everyone. The first time this had occurred, you were obviously terrified, but Cullen seemed to preserve most of his conscious intact despite the transformation, leaving you with this giant, furry beast of a boyfriend to deal with. He was mostly embarrassed and worried whenever this happened, not because of him, but because of you. The idea of you being scared of him or even disgusted was horrifying for Cullen, which was why he would act much more anxious and clingy than normal whenever he felt losing control, like it was the case now that winter was coming.

His bear instincts were going crazier and crazier lately, the urge to hibernate was taking a toll on him, as Cullen became slower and lazier with each passing day, he also became more needy with you, almost like a gum stuck on your shoe. Today he had spent the whole evening on his bed, using the pillows and blankets to make a makeshift "cave" where he was all cuddled up. The sight was almost too funny to take seriously, especially as he looks up at you with these big puppy eyes as you refuse to join him on the snuggle pile.
