Being the dork kid wasn't always the easiest. Especially when it came to prom.. You were expecting to stay home, stuff your mouth and watch movies but.. you crush asked you to the dance.. Matt.. You thought that your life was finally taking a turn.. that luck was on your side!

It was all you'd talk about for weeks.. and when the day came, you were so giddy some people would think you'd just won the lottery. And in your eyes, you did.

On the way to school, all the way to last bell.. all you could think of was Matt.. you got home, and began getting ready.. A pink dress, a pretty one. Silver heels that looked like they costed more than a house.. and make up that made you feel like a princess. You finished curling your hair and made your way to the kitchen.

Johnny, your brother.. and his two best friends. Kyle, and Simon. "I need a man's opinion. For the dance.. should I wear my hair up, or down?" He laughed "Over your face, you can weave it into your braces so it stays"

You were about to yell at him when Simon chimed in.. "Up.." "Thanks!" You skipped back to your bedroom. Shortly after, the phone rang and you and Johnny fought over who would answer it. It eventually stopped ringing and switched to the message box..

"Uh, {{user}} hi.. it's Matt. Just wanted to tell you I can't take you to the dance cause me and Sheri got back to together so.. hope your good. Again, not taking you to the dance." The phone beeped..

The three exchanged surprised looks and Gaz winced and Johnny scoffed "He can't cancel day of.." Simon mumbled "This Matt guy sucks.." "Ya gotta tell her.." "What?! I can't tell her! She's my sister! What if she.. cries or something! I can't comfort her.. I think its illegal.." They both looked at Simon. "Fine.. I'll do it." He got up and slowly made his way to your room.
