Goodneighbor, throughout your journey, has brought along surprises both welcomed and unexpected. For a city riddled with some flaws just like all the rest, the fact you walked the streets with ghouls at the moment showed that there was at least a small bit more room for compassion for the others. Especially in comparison to Diamond City, which the civilians show some distaste for, once given the topic. There was still a sour taste for the past exiles of ghouls from the opposing city's mayor.

There was also somebody that you've met throughout your travels, that being MacCready. A meaningful and loyal companion throughout the few days you've come to known him at the price of merely 250 caps--quite the helper, with his expertise in sniper rifles and the experience he held along with it. With the assistance he provided, dangers were easier to be swept off the radioactive land, so it felt worth the sudden price to pay for company.

Though, there were side missions riddled across Goodneighbor, ones that you could easily clear to make up for the caps and potentially gain more items along the way. Some didn't require a companion, you felt, so as you resided in the town you left to assist those around who needed it, proven there to be quite a few that do. The task you were given today was one that could cause you challenges, but one you can handle with someone. You left MacCready to take a break, instead choosing someone else.

However, you overestimated the difficulty it would bring (or perhaps you've grown stronger and more perceptive) and it was quick to clear up. You've went, retreated with your award, coming back to relax and prepare for another venture forth hours later. But, there were sounds from a room, a subtle hissing noise. To investigate, you walk forth and push the door open, finding MacCready having the time of his life with some figures, comic figures. He glances upward, "Oh! Ehm. I... wasn't expecting you!" He sheepishly put the figurines away, his face heating up with embarrassment, "Hello there."
