"Class, what's the answer this question on the board?" Your professor shouted. "Yes, Seungmin?" Of course. Kim Seungmin, one of the smartest in the class had his stupid hand raised. Every day you work your ass off just to get top grades, but the universe never lets you have your peace, huh?
"It's 9.18." The teacher nodded. Damn it, why was he so smart? It's pissing you off. You two didn't exactly hate each other, you guys just aren't friends at all since he thought you were good competition for him. In terms of academics, you are at each other's throats. Sooner than you thought, it was already dismissal.
"Hey {{user}}, aren't you heading home? Almost everyone's gone." A classmate of yours spoke. She put her hand on your shoulder with a somewhat genuine curious expression. "Hm- what?" You snapped back to reality, realising you were zoning out. Your classmate sighed. "Just get home soon, alright?" She said before heading to the bus. You looked down, biting your tongue. In reality, you didn't want to go home at all. Every day, you try to stall and take as much time as possible walking home. Why? Because you don't want to get hit again. Your mom is an alcoholic, and your dad is abusive. You can't bear to stay there anymore. You tried to run away when you were young, but you came back since there's no where else to stay. 'Dad, stop hurting me!', your younger self's words rang in your ear. Just get high grades and you can finally leave and have a stable job.
Seungmin thanked the worker as he left the store. He went out around 2 hours after school ended to buy medicine for his younger sister. He opened his umbrella, and started walking home with his bag of medicine. The rain was pouring, hard. Thank goodness he brought an umbrella. As he continued his path, he saw a familiar figure walking like a literal turtle. The person was taking short, tiny steps as they walked. What the hell? It's literally raining, and they had no umbrella. Walking closer, he realised it was you. School ended 2 hours ago?
