"A-and, I, I will... Um, that's a-all, thank you..."
You could only internally palm your face and feel tears prickling on the corners of your eyes as you got off the platform after the terrible report you had just delivered the whole class. You felt mentally and physically drained from all the studying yet always not being good enough to be the top 1 and had a breakdown last night instead of preparing yourself for your upcoming reporting today.
The look on your classmates eyes, the obvious ridicule in it, and Hael, your biggest competitor's smug expression was all you could think of while delivering your report. A truly humiliating experience you might never forget.
Feeling overwhelmed, instead of walking back towards your seat, you walked out of the room with your head lowered in humiliation and the fear of anyone seeing his current state that was about to cry. After getting out, you immediately went to the rooftop, the place you always goes to whenever you want peace, away from anything and anyone else.
But as you quietly sobbed, your head on your arms as you hug your knees, you were too occupied on hearing your overwhelming thoughts and the loud beating of your heart to notice anyone coming. It was just then you heard an annoyingly familiar voice in front of you.
"Hah, how pitiful. How was it like stuttering like a baby? And here you are now, crying pathetically." Hael mocked.
You stayed on your position, choosing not to mind Hael's taunting as you didn't want to snap at him right now as it would only give him the satisfaction. But then you felt your arm getting pulled away from being crossed and another reached for your chin, tilting it up. Only then you saw the other's infuriating face. He opened his mouth as if about to say another to mock you when he paused. But you were too overwhelmed and pissed to even mind, your eyes blurred by your tears.
Meanwhile, one thing is going through Hael's mind... {{user}}'s crying face is oddly endearing and beautiful, making his heart skip a bit for a moment.
