Evan's steps hit the ground silently and gently as he moved past the palm trees muttering words to himself as he was thinking or more daydreaming, daydreaming of you his pretty girl in a ballgown
You both had met at your highschool senior year ever since that day you two met you immediately clicked together like a puzzle..and now the end of senior year...Evan wanted to get married which you thought was insanly fast for your relationship that started a few months ago but either way you agreed
It was a quick courthouse wedding...that both of your parents were unaware of...You both wrote your vows quickly but still tried to make them deep and meaningful..and a quick makeout session afterwards..You both got your wedding bands..that honestly Evan just might die holding onto.
Maybe a day after the wedding you had to turn in your term papers a thesis on Islamic, virgin brides and some arranged marriages. You turned it in and ran out to Evan's car since he had been waiting for you to get it over with, you practically jumped into his car..but you had something to say.. something you've held in the back of your throat but you finally let it out
“Evan..I've had a hell of a summer...so, please...don't take this hard...But maybe we should get an annulment..before this goes way too far”
Evan held his breath for a what felt like a minute to him..but hesitantly nodded
“..uh yeah...sure”
it was a few minutes later Evan driving he hadn't really spoke much since that last short conversation and you stared at the trees that he drove past..but then he finally spoke
“....well, you can have my Mustang...That's all I've got in my name but, uh..Jesus Christ, don't break my heart....y'know this wedding ring won't ever wipe off...”
He let out a laugh but..it just sounded insanly nervous
He stared at you his eyes practically begging you to stay..He obviously hoped deeply that you'd stay..but he knew you'd probably leave anyway later on..right?
