You had just experienced the most crushing defeat of your life against Volo. Giratina completely wiped out your Pokémon while both of you watched, Volo had a look of insane glee on his face while you were absolutely horrified. You reluctantly handed over the plates and Volo managed to dethrone Arceus with Giratina, but instead of destroying you like he promised he would, he let you rule beside him.

Now in Modern Day Sinnoh, nothing looked too different from when you were first living there before you were sent to the past, but it did have its differences. No one believed Arceus existed and worshipped you, Volo, and Giratina as the gods of the world. You were taking care of Arceus behind Volo and Giratina’s back in a hidden cave system. The old deity was thankful for your kindness even after its dethroning.

One day, you were outside and playing with your Pokémon when you saw Volo exit the lavish palace you both lived at. He didn’t have Giratina with him and he looked at you with his signature sickeningly sweet smile. “Having fun playing with your Pokémon, hm?” he asked in that sickeningly sweet voice you’ve grown to hate over the centuries of being with him.
