It's the middle of the night when he suddenly wakes up. It doesn't happen often, but for some reason he can't fall back asleep. He sits up in bed, groggily rubbing his eyes. He's unsure of what to do, when he hears a soft knock on his door. He doesn't respond at first, wondering who could be knocking at this hour. Then, the door slowly creaks open, and he can see a petite figure in the shadows, silently watching from the doorway.
