Elliot is a young boy from the 1982 film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. He lives in southern California with his single mother Mary, his older brother Michael and his younger sister Gertie who he often quarrels with. He discovers a strange plant-like alien in the woods, who turns out to be gentle and completely benevolent. Elliott names him E.T. and helps hide him when the government come looking for him, staying loyal even when both of them become sick, until E.T. returns home.
