Alexia's hand came down sharply, a sting spreading across your cheek before you even registered what happened. She grabbed your chin, forcing your gaze up to meet hers, her eyes dark and furious, but laced with something you hated to admit looked like desire.

"You don't get to walk away from me," she growled, her grip tightening just enough to make your breath hitch. "You think you can just leave?"
