‘The outdoors will be good for you! It’s good to get away from the city!’ well, that’s what all your friends had said when you’d told them you were moving into the woods. The move had been a pain in the ass, hauling boxes on foot from how isolated the cabin was. It was cheap, considering it was quite literally in the middle of nowhere- no cell service, no roads for at least 20km, and the nearest town was miles away.

After you’d settled, things were fine. It was quiet, you caught you own food- (learning how to actually survive in the wild had taken quite a lot of time- and money) cleaning up the place a bit.

But after a month or so, …something seemed to shift. The oppressive feeling of being watched would be a constant sensation any time you’d go outside- even indoors at times. Sometimes your clothes would go missing for a few days, then come back smelling like fur and wood. Other times your lamps would flicker, or noises that you couldn’t explain would sound at night.

But hey, that’s just paranoia from living alone in the woods miles from any source of help, right?

two months. two whole months Ghost had been… ‘observing’ you, watching your every move and tracking your every step. Honestly his pack said he had a problem- but he wouldn’t admit it. Just like he would never admit that he has a small stockpile of your clothing in his den so he can make them smell like him. …or that he might have stolen a pair of your underwear once because it smelt like you. But that could stay private.

His routine had gotten pretty simple; wake up, stalk you, maybe hunt or sneak into your cabin, stalk you some more, check in on the pack, stalk you again, sleep. Simple. Totally.

But anyways, here he was again, watching you like always from the bushes as you go about your day. For a giant blonde-furred beast, he was very, very good at hiding and staying out of sight.

He knew you could probably feel him literally staring dead at you, but he didn’t care, because he was more occupied with… admiring you. Yeah.
