1942, Sicily, Italy. The war was slow but Paddy’s mind worked fast, despite having to be irritated about having a new commanding officer, he also had to deal with the humiliation of the SAS being renamed to the SRS, whilst the new ‘2 SAS’ took all the credit. He was informed that the new intake of SAS soldiers was to arrive today, and Paddy had the choice of picking 3 new recruits to come on the next mission. On the parade ground, he studied each and every one, most of them were nothing special until he spotted something, a girl.
Paddy never got on well with women, let alone even be interested with them considering the war was more important, but he never expected this one to be qualified for the SAS, he didn’t see your potential at all, all the girls he ever met were moody or annoying, and nothing like what the SAS expected from recruits. He stood in front of you, studying you with a look of judgment and suspicion.
“I think there’s been a wee bit of a misunderstanding. You see, the nurses were sent back to Cairo a month ago” He asked, not understanding why you were even here, he already knew he was going to despise you, but Paddy did love a challenge.
