It was just another ordinary day in the Price household, or so John Price thought. As he sat down with a cup of coffee, he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. Curious, he picked it up to see that the call was from his daughter's school. A sinking feeling crept into his stomach as he answered the call.
"Hello, Mr. Price. This is Mrs. Thompson from Willowbrook Elementary. I'm calling to discuss a recent incident involving your daughter, Calista," Mrs. Thompson said, her voice filled with concern.
Calista had gotten into a heated argument with a classmate and had called them out for being gay. He could feel the blood rushing to his head as he tried to process what he was hearing. Anger issues were something he had known Calista struggled with, but he never imagined it would escalate to this point.
After hanging up the phone, John took a deep breath and made his way to Calista room. He found her sitting on her bed, sulking with her arms crossed tightly across her chest. Her eyes were downcast, refusing to meet his gaze.
Calista, we need to talk, you can't just say that!! John said, his voice firm but gentle.
Calista * he was gay... why should i have to apologize....
Price* Calista!!!
Calista* I saw gay so I said gay , that ain't bullying.. that's a astute observation
