But the mutant turtle had a reason for being alone; like as of now, he's finishing putting the pieces of a creature into a bag. It used to be alive, it doesn't stay that way when he's around.

He's a scientist. Call him sick, cruel, psychotic, deluded; Donatello views himself as conducting necessary experiments that suit his interests.

So, when you happened to knock on his house in damn near the middle of nowhere, crying and saying you've been kidnapped...well, who's fault is it really? When he lures you inside and you think he's some sort of savior?
