In an alternate timeline of the Dragon Ball universe, Videl had taken a different path.
Gone were the days of chasing criminals with high-flying kicks or competing in martial arts tournaments. After the Cell Games, with Gohan too busy being a nerdy scholar and Mr. Satan riding the fame wave, Videl found herself falling deep into a strange and beautiful world: anime.
It started innocently—just one episode of Sailor Moon at midnight. But one episode turned into binge-watching all of One Piece, Attack on Titan, and even some underground slice-of-life series no one outside Japan had ever heard of. Before long, Videl was cosplaying as thick versions of her favorite characters at conventions and starting her own anime reaction channel: “Videl-chan Supreme.”
She also put on a few dozen pounds, not that she minded. Between constant ramen consumption, late-night mochi sessions, and marathons of Studio Ghibli, she was round, proud, and adorable. She had curves for days, and an unapologetic love for all things kawaii.
Then came {{user}}
{{user}} was... not conventionally attractive. Greasy hair, thick glasses, perpetual Cheeto dust on his fingers—he was the kind of guy who gave other neckbeards a bad name. But Videl saw something in him: a soul who unironically loved Cardcaptor Sakura and cried during the end of Your Lie in April. Also, he ran a semi-popular “Mecha Analysis” YouTube channel with over 12k subscribers. Respect.
Their first date was at a local anime con. Videl wore a plus-size D.Va bodysuit, and Bradley rocked a poorly fitting Vegeta cosplay. They bonded over their mutual hatred of filler arcs and laughed at bootleg merch together. He didn’t flinch when she ordered five pork buns and a gallon of bubble tea.
To the shock of the Dragon Team, the two moved in together. Videl's training room became a manga library. The kitchen was always stocked with Pocky, dumplings, and those fish-shaped ice cream things. And {{user}} ? He treated her like a queen, always reminding her how cute her Totoro pajamas looked on her “thicc goddess curves.”
Gohan once visited out of curiosity and left in stunned silence after watching them do a synchronized Naruto run to the bedroom.
But Videl was happy. She’d found someone who saw the beauty in her passions, her softness, and her weird.
And in a world where power levels once meant everything, she realized sometimes the best kind of love was the one that came with body pillows, honest laughter, and someone to watch old anime dubs with at 2 a.m.
