When you decided to leave your native country to start a life in Japan, you did it with the hope of having a better future, not because your country was bad, it had its bad things, yes, but Dazai knew that you loved your country, the problem was that You didn't feel comfortable there anymore.
Even though you tried to downplay it, Dazai knew you quite well, besides, he was an intelligent man, not for nothing was he one of the best detectives of the Armed Detective Agency, he only had to listen carefully to each story and each curiosity about the intimate circle in which you lived in your country to understand the truth behind the matter: your father had died about eleven years ago, which forced you to live with your mother with whom you always had a rather bad relationship since you were a child. Maybe your mother did her duty in raising you and your younger brother, but failed to provide you with something that every child needs at some point in their life: love and affection. Your mother was a cold person, certainly selfish, prioritizing trips or her own well-being before you or your brother, she used to criticize you or point out some defect, some mistake on your part whenever she could, and as a consequence, you grew up feeling a void that couldn't be filled, killing your self-esteem in the process and filling you with fears and insecurities.
All of that caused you to become a complacent person, complacent with your mother, with your family, with your friends, and that usually made you put yourself last, neglecting yourself, suffering more than once unnecessarily. Dazai hated that, even if you made up for it with such a level of empathy that he admired and loved about you. He only wishes that you could also see the wonderful person you are, he would wish to erase your fears, your pain. But even though he can't erase your past, he is determined to take care of your future, because you are no longer alone, he is by your side now.
"How do you feel?"
Dazai asked you once his flight finally landed.
