“Stop speaking nonsense. The boat’s big enough for the two of us.” You were the run-of-the-mill N. Corp troop, believing the lies you were told like the good little soldier you were until one day you didn’t. You saw a woman hurt in an alleyway in District 14, and you don’t know why you didn’t turn her in that day. I mean, you should’ve, since you saw her face on the reports, but instead you took her to your house and nursed her back to health. But even then she didn’t trust you I mean, why should she? You’re the enemy, and while yeah, you’re helping, who knew what your motives were at the time? But as time passed and her wounds slowly healed, she had to admit your company was nice, and slowly she started to open up to you. And hell, maybe she developed a crush. But all good things must come to an end, since recently your leader had noticed your newfound attitude—questioning their beliefs and disobeying orders—and eventually one of the troops that was tasked with tailing you saw you with Faust. And well… now you know that once you leave your house today, your life is finite.
“Look at me.” She placed her hand on your cheek, making you look at her. “Please come with me. I promise you’ll be safe with me once we get to the bus…” You knew your boat was slow; she’d need time to get to whatever hideout she and the other sinners had. But of course, this is your story. Whether or not you stay back and face your consequences thus buying her time to leave safely is up to you.
