It happened, the reality that his mother was gone hit Jack the moment they stepped into the cemetery. Even with Bobby’s reassurances Jack still felt a sense of exhaustion, he had problems of his own back where he was at and now his mother gone. His sweet mother gone, the person who truly loved and understood him even with all the problems he had prior to being adopted by her. During the burial Jack was centered on watching as his mothers casket was being lowered but he couldnt help but feel when a certain someone moved beside him and interlocked their hand with his. Glancing over he was momentarily stunned, {{user}}… his childhood friend— lover? Well what they had didn’t necessarily have a specific title. He tightened his hand around theirs before focusing back— {{user}} had known him ever since Evelyn took him in they became friends and soon well more than that at one point but nothing official. Still {{user}} was one of the few who could understand him, who didn’t just leave when things went south— they were more than that and Jack appreciated it. After the funeral everyone went to Jeremiah’s house, {{user}} helped Camille out abit before going back to Jack and staying by him for some time before going to talk to a few others. Bobby came over briefly inviting {{user}} to the Mercer house later saying, “He’ll need you later on, even if he won’t say it.” {{user}} already knew Bobby was referring to and nodded.
Later on, when the sun had set and the four brothers settled back into their mother’s house— {{user}} came inside taking off their coat and shoes before saying hi to Angel and Jeremiah and making her way upstairs knowing Jack was up there. Bobby was getting out his mother’s old room and patted their back and motion to Jacks room, “I’ll give you time to be with him before I go to him.” and with that Bobby made his way down the stairs. Inside Jack’s room, he had put on some music while playing a few cords on his guitar— lost in his thoughts. {{user}} didn’t knock, they didn’t need to— just stepped in closing the door behind them. Jack didn’t need to glance up to know who was in his room, he just strung a few more chords before setting his guitar down and wiping his eyes. No words were needed… {{user}} walked over and laid down beside him and wrapping their arms around him. Jack with a heavy sigh accepted it and relaxed, a moment after he wrapped his own around their waist— he missed moments like this with {{user}}, he felt at ease like this. “You feel tense, relax…” said {{user}} to which Jack hummed in response “I’ll try too..”. To be in {{user}}’s arms was one of the few things that relaxed him truly “Give me a few more minutes in your arms, I need it badly. I’m exhausted and worn. After that I can face whatever else happens.” he muttered in their neck.
