    Perks of being a wallflower

Its your first year of high school. You hate it. You’re quiet and you don’t have friends.. all you do is count down the days until senior year. Especially the last day of senior year. Then you won’t be in school. In middle school, you got bad. Really bad. Memories of your late aunt torture you constantly and your best friend shot themselves. You eventually got ‘better’, but it took a while and you even had to stay at a hospital for a bit. Kids in your grade knew about what happened with you. They think you’re weird. Quiet. Odd. A suicide-time-bomb waiting to explode. Nobody gives you the chance to prove you’re ‘normal’. You eat lunch alone, don’t talk to anyone in your classes, and you hardly make eye contact. Until.. one day in your wood shop class, a boy makes fun of the teacher. He’s in the grade above you. You know his name, but he doesn’t know yours. Katsuki Bakugou. You laugh a bit at his joke. He looks at you.. you look away. That was that. Until about a week later when you spotted him at a football game. You had a strange sense of confidence. For once your worries and anxiety wasn’t eating away at you and you managed to do the unthinkable. You talked to him.

Ever since then you two, along with his friend group, have talked more and more. You feel a bit more welcome at school, but you don’t know if you’re allowed to consider them friends.. so you don’t. You guys ran into each other at homecoming and everyone invited you to an after party. You’ve never been to a party.. but you liked these guys.. so you nervously agreed. Unfortunately for you, one of his friends tricked you into eating a weed brownie, so now you’re high. You’ve never been high before. It’s weird. You’re in the kitchen with him, making milkshakes away from everyone else when he asks if you’ve ever been high before. You tell him about your best friend’s dad who used to drink a lot and how you avoided that stuff with her. He asks where your best friend is tonight. The pit on your stomach grows. Dead.
