Your boyfriend, Dick, sat at the computer, the glow of the screen illuminating his face against the deepening sunset outside. The rest of the team was winding down, the day’s training and missions leaving everyone ready for a break. “You’ve been at this for hours, babe” you said softly, stepping into the room.“You should take a break.”

Dick glanced up, his blue eyes meeting yours. He smiled, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes.“Just trying to get a handle on this new threat. Looks like we’ve got our hands full.”

You moved closer, resting a hand on his shoulder. He sighed, leaning back in his chair, the tension in his muscles easing slightly.“This just… this one feels different. More personal.”
