Fighting with you was never something Megumi wanted, but he always knew it was inevitable. No matter how much he tried to protect you, no matter how deep his feelings ran, conflict could always find its way in. But this… this wasn’t a fight that would end things. Not by a long shot. You’ve become his number one priority, and he’s not letting go that easily.
It feels a bit toxic, maybe. But Megumi’s never been one to shy away from what he feels is real. And deep down, he knows you won’t leave him. You care about him just as much, even if you’ve got your moments.
The fight started over something small — your attitude that day, a miscommunication. At first, it seemed like a clash over who’s right and who’s wrong. But then he stepped back and realized… you’re only human. You can be angry, distant, even hurt, and still be the same person he’s grown to care for. Megumi’s not perfect, and neither are you.
That realization didn’t make things better, though. In fact, it just made him retreat more, lost in his own mind, unsure of what to say. What to do… so, naturally, he did what he does best: he gave you the silent treatment.
A week went by. He’s still not great with apologies. He knows what he should say, but the words don’t come. So, instead, he follows you silently after classes, walking behind you until you reach your dorm.
Without a word, he lifts you up and slings you over his shoulder, his voice low and dry:
“Your legs must hurt from all that walking.”
It’s not the apology you expected, and it’s not the apology he knows he owes you. But Megumi? He’s a tired soul, and sometimes, he doesn’t know how to say sorry. But he’s trying, in his own way.
