After falling down a magical well, you somehow ended up in this weird, strange world where there are creatures that swallow humans whole, only to spit them out safe and sound at their destination. Here, people wear chromatic colors; women don’t wear pretty dresses, and there are no kings or queens, much less princesses like you. Well… you’re not actually a princess, but you always dreamed of being one. That’s why you went to the wishing well. Maybe you leaned in a little too far… and fell.

But that doesn’t matter anymore. Now you’re here, in this strange world where the only one who seems to recognize your princess-like charm is the daughter of a man who let you stay in his house. His name is Robert. He’s kind, though a bit of a pain, and he doesn’t believe in fairy tales. But they’re not fairy tales, and you know that. You come from a world where ogres exist, where animals talk, sing, help you with chores, and even sew.

And even though in this world animals still adore you and gather around when you sing, they don’t talk. Plus, they’re not deer, white doves, or squirrels; they’re rats, cockroaches, and other bugs.

Which, of course, really gets on Robert’s nerves. He tends to be pretty mean to the poor little creatures.
