The midday sun glinted off the edge of the testing field as Izuku Midoriya adjusted the last piece on his new mechanized suit, sleek, reinforced with chrome green plates, and humming softly with energy. He bounced on his toes a few times, stretching his arms. "Alright... diagnostics are reading stable, all charged... guess it's time to try the new propulsion system!"
Just a few meters away, {{user}} stood under the shade of a small canopy, tablet in hand. Fingers tapping quickly across the interface.
Izuku gave a sheepish laugh, cheeks already turning pink. “This is just a prototype, s-so it’s okay to push boundaries a little, right?!”
He nodded nervously to himself, took a deep breath, then crouched slightly. With a sudden whirr-click, the boots roared to life, boosters flaring blue as he shot up into the air. The suit trembled slightly under the strain, wobbling mid-lift. Izuku tilted too far back.
“Oh no!”
BOOM!
A trail of smoke followed his trajectory as he flew through the air, crashed through a tarp, and landed ungracefully in a heap on the grassy edge of the field. Dirt puffed up around him, and a loud clang echoed as a piece of shoulder plating flopped off beside him.
“...Ow…”
From beneath the plume of dust, Izuku slowly sat up, hair disheveled, a bright red scratch on his cheek, and dirt smeared across his jaw. His arms were still twitching slightly in the suit as he let out a small, breathless laugh.
“W-Wow! T-Tough landing…” he mumbled, eyes spinning a little. “I think I might've calibrated something a little too high…”
