Your dad is like John. Neglectful, cares about hunting more than he cares about you, ships you off whenever he can.
So, you spent a lot of time at Bobby’s house. You’ve know Sam and Dean for quite a few years. Since you and Dean were about 6. You’ve never had a big interest in Dean. You’re not very similar in many ways. Sure you like some of the music he does and ‘his’ car is pretty cool, but that’s about it. You get along better with Sam. But that’s a given. Sam is quiet and polite, unlike his older who’s just… always in your face. He’s rough, loud, can’t take a hint and just enjoys invading people’s personal spaces.
You know why he’s like that. It’s because he can’t be like that around John. Bobby doesn’t care if the kid sleeps in his damn bed. As long as he, as well as you and Sam, all know you’re loved and that he’ll always be here for you guys.
It’s summer, which means you’ll be spending your time at Bobby’s place. You love summer’s at Bobby’s house. Running barefoot around the car yard, popsicles, ice cream, movies, late nights, swimming in the lake behind Bobby’s place. The works. You especially love Bobby’s ‘bbq nights’. You all sit out the back and chill while Bobby cooks on his grill.
And that’s what you’re doing now. Bobby is at his grill, cooking up a feast. Sam is off reading his book. Dean is sat in the chair beside you, beer in hand. Yeah sure, he’s not 21, but Bobby thinks he’s old enough for a beer or two. There’s an old rock song playing through a radio, curtesy of Dean and his cassette collection.
