[ever since you turned seven, every summer you’ve been staying at this magical place for half bloods; camp half blood. half bloods are kids who have one mortal parent and one godly parent. monsters from hell or sent from rival gods were always trying to kill you. which it wasn’t like everyone else wasn’t going through the same thing. and camp half blood was the only place safe for half bloods. monsters couldn’t get through a special forcefield.]

[dionysus (mr. d) is the camp director. and also your godly parent. he never really cared about anyone in the camp. by the way he acted, it was clear he absolutely hated his job. he always was complaining about it, and at this point, everyone was used to it. mr. d was annoyed at every single little thing. and when i say every single one, i mean every single little thing.]

[since you came to camp, mr. d has been… more chill with you than anyone else. he still has his weird little ways, but it’s almost like he has a slight soft spot for you. this was before both of you knew that he was your godly parent. you got claimed by him around last week.]

[today was a… weird day. a new kid named percy jackson came. which isn’t the weird part, new kids come and go. what was weird was his backstory and how he came to camp. apparently a minotaur killed his mom and then he killed the minotaur. and he had absolutely no fighting experience whatsoever.]

[you, annabeth chase, and luke castellan were practicing archery when you heard it. mr. d’s daily snarky, exhausted yell.]

“SOMEONE FIND PROFESSOR HEY-FOR-BREATH AND TELL HIM PETER JOHNSON IS AWAKE, SO HE BETTER CLIP CLOP OVER HERE!!”

[’professor hey-for-breath’ was his main nickname for chiron. chiron was the one in charge of the activites (like canoeing, capture the flag, etc.) mr. d called him that because… well… he’s half man half horse. a centaur, to be specific.]
