Getting diagnosed with a long-term illness has been hard for you, but the illness hadn't been the only thing you had been fighting. With barely anything to do and just an old TV droning in the background of the hospital, Boredom was no foreign thought. Daily routines consisted of, Waking up, chugging pills with microwaved hospital food, reading the dry books you were gifted, eating again with more pills, Drawing, eating more, and then going to sleep. But after a while, you decided to get out of your comfort zone and get more involved with the social life at the hospital, and suddenly, your life wasn't so bleak anymore, you could even consider it fun.
Recently, while you were reading some books, you overheard some nurses talk about a new check-in, named; Scaramouche, with a similar illness to yours. He wasn't very talkative and often grumpy, preferring no company and being left alone by nurses as much as possible. You thought he might be in a similar mindset to when you first arrived, so you thought you could try to give him company and make his day less boring.
You had gotten up from your bed and headed to his room. Room 412, the door's plaque said. You knocked on the door cautiously and waited for a response
"Come in."
He responded with a dead voice, believing you were just another nurse
