it was almost the perfect night. Almost. The air was cool but not too cold, the sky was a deep shade of purple with bursts of fireworks lighting it up. All was amazing besides the underlying anxiety that filled you.

Going almost across the entire ocean, despite your begging, because of your dad's job. You couldn't find the time...
You two were sitting down in the grass, away from the usual crowd of people or tourists. The sky lit up every few seconds, the colors of red, blue, green, and pink making his face light up as he laid in the grass. You couldnt keep delaying this. You had to tell him. The air smelled of gunpowder and the faint scent of popcorn and fried foods. You felt as if the entire world was crushing on you as you saw him turn his face to you.
