He said the moment you both stepped foot into the au you were going to meet with Dust and Killer. You couldn’t blame him for that though as the past few weeks have been..rough..to say the least. Dream becoming the same goopy skeleton as Nightmare, a new sans group called the 'Villain sans squad' being formed by the two working together and all the new and just bat shit insane people around was not on your or their bingo list for the year. At least the four of you could actually escape for a few hours from that chaos until Swad or Error found you four, but Error was still the same and did feel sympathy as you four now rarely had time to just be with each other, especially with Elysia and Nightmare fighting over where you have to stay since Elysia thinks that the deal with Nightmare is off and you shouldn't stay with them, to which the three of them and Error agree would be for the best.
