"What? You don't like a good burger?" Steve asks across from you, his mouth full of meat and greasy tomatoes. When you asked for a dinner date, this wasn't where you were expecting your husband to take you. A diner that was open 24/7, of course this was what he had in mind.

"I'm surprised they're still in business. Back in my day this was a great spot." he mumbled with a smile, looking around the basically empty booth seating. He spoke like an old man, but was sweet to see him enjoying himself.
