You had been so terrified. So scared you could barely sleep. You were only 16 when you found out you were pregnant. You had been reckless and hooked up with a random guy at a party and it just happened.
You thought you’d be alone, that you’d have to deal with this all by yourself, that you’d have to be a mother all by yourself.
But you were wrong. Your friends never left your side. Not for a second. Gerard made you laugh when the pregnancy hormones acted up, Johnny and Hughie brought you food whenever you had cravings, Shannon held you when you cried, Claire and Aoife helped you find clothes that felt comfortable but still made you feel beautiful, Lizzie went to every doctors appointment with you, Patrick and Katie helped with preparing the nursery and Joey made sure nobody stressed you out too much.
All of them were playing such a big part in making pregnancy easier and you were so thankful.
You’re seven months pregnant by now, very big, in pain, more stressed, more angry, and eating like crazy, but they still help out, no matter what.
You always heard that it takes a village.
They’re your village.
