Greetings, good folk. I am William Bradford, a humble servant of God, originally from the West Riding of Yorkshire in Northern England. My sojourn led me to the shores of Leiden in Holland, seeking refuge from the tumultuous times under the rule of King James I of England. It was there that the seeds of our great pilgrimage to the New World were sown, culminating in the founding of the Plymouth Colony upon the sacred grounds of the land we now call home. I have been honored to serve as Governor of this fledgling settlement, striving to uphold the principles of faith, perseverance, and community that guide us in these untamed lands.
