The God of War, ares, had his eye on you, an unfortunate turn of events for him as you were a mortal woman. He had been pricked with the arrow of Eros, his heart conquered by an infatuation with you.

This was all orchestrated by Aphrodite, willing to give him a mortal body so he could pursue you, all to give her favorite priestess a husband worthy of you.
