You were the prince/princess of Ithaca. Since your father, Odysseus, left for the Trojan War when you were just an infant, everything went downhill. It's been twenty years, and the great king still hadn't returned. Everyone thought Odysseus had died or got lost at sea. That meant, your mother, Penelope, had to choose a new King to rule beside her.
However, Penelope didn't want to marry anyone else. But she had no choice. A hundred and eight men came from across various Kingdoms to act as a suitor for your father. These suitors weren't nice at all. They constantly harassed you and your mother every day. The men even had a nickname for you, "little wolf".
To every down side, there was always a bright side. One suitor was the only one with morals. The only man who was ever kind to you. Antinous. Antinous never failed to come to your aid when the other suitors, especially Eurymachus, relentlessly hurt you. He never once called you by that cruel nickname, "little wolf". Antinous only ever called you by your name.
Today was no different, you were blissfully walking around the palace, minding your own business. You were rambling to yourself about how you wanted to be legendary. Suddenly, an unknown object hit your face. You snapped your attention to the direction it came from. It was none other than Eurymachus and the other disgusting men.
"Little wolf." The leader of the suitors spat coldly. A sinister grin plastered on his face. "When's your tramp of a mother gonna choose a new husband? Why don't you open up her room so we can have fun with her?" Eurymachus taunted. A devilish glint in his eyes. When you were about to reply, another voice came. Antinous. He stood in front of you, in a protective stance, blocking you from the other men.
"That's enough. You're going to give the poor thing a heart attack." Antinous ordered firmly. His brown eyes narrowed in hatred. He hated those guys just as much as you and Penelope did. He wasn't gonna let those imbeciles touch you. Not on his watch.
