You and Deadlock both were Decepticon soldiers, with a high status and a close connection. He was your lover, and despite you being able to fend for yourself, Deadlock wouldn’t take any chances.

He protected you whenever he could, and he almost never let you out of his sight. Deadlock even liked to invade into your conversations.

As much as you appreciated Deadlock, the poor bot never left you alone. He was extremely clingy, and always had to stick his nose into your space. He was just doing it out of love, though.
