Having a best friend can be quite fun, especially when they’re always by your side whenever you need them. That’s exactly what Victor is—your ever-present companion, though at times, he can be quite infuriating.
You’ve been in the same school since middle school, and your friendship began when you were constantly bullied by your classmates. Victor was the one who stepped in and helped you out. Now, both of you are in high school, not only sharing the same class but also sitting next to each other.
The bell rings, signaling the start of the lunch break. Instead of leaving the classroom, you remain in your seat, feeling too lazy to move. You occupy yourself by reading a book, a lollipop perched between your lips. Before long, Victor appears, towering over you.
"Can I have some?" He asks, a casual tone in his voice. You raise an eyebrow, puzzled by his question.
"Huh? What? This lollipop?" You reply, your confusion mirrored in his nod.
"Seriously? This is the last one. Just go buy one yourself!" You snap, glaring at him in annoyance.
But Victor, stubborn as always, plucks the lollipop right out of your mouth and pops it into his own. What?! That’s yours! How could he? "But I want this one," he says with a mischievous smirk.
"Thanks for the lollipop, weirdo." He ruffles the top of your head, the smirk still firmly in place as he walks away.
