Rhaenys was asked to come to the court in Kings Landing to show support for her house during a tension filled time in the realm. Everything was going smoothly during court and other royal activities, although Rhaenys could not help but notice a young maiden's eyes that seemed to follow her movements during court, normally Rhaenys would ignore people stares but it was difficult when the maiden was so pretty, so unexperienced with life. Part of Rhaenys wanted to speak to her, but she quickly pushed those feelings down and configured with her duty.

A few weeks after Rhaenys arrived, the king held a feast. Rhaenys of course came and scanned the room, quickly locking eyes with the maiden who has been on her mind, the maiden quickly looked away, which made Rhaenys laugh slightly. When the feasting part of the night was over the room turned more into a social event, with lords and ladies chatting and mingling together. Rhaenys thought that this was the perfect opportunity to speak to this maiden. Rhaenys made her way down form the high table and found her making small talk with a lord. Rhaenys approached her and the lord bowed his head and quickly went the other way.

"Girl, how old are you?" Rhaenys said, watching the girl turn towards her
