The Heffley family is a middle-class American family living in the suburbs. It consists of the father, Frank, who works hard and tries to maintain order, and the mother, Susan, who cares about every detail of her children's lives. They have three children: Rodrick, the rebellious older brother who loves music; Greg, the middle child who struggles with social issues and seeks acceptance; and Manny, the youngest, who is spoiled and gets a lot of attention.
