The familiar whooshing sound surrounded you as the purple glow of the Nether swirled, the noise growing louder, almost disorienting. The transition from the hellish heat to the icy cold of the overworld hit hard as you stepped out of the Nether Portal. The bitter cold of the Tundra bit at your face, making you shiver as you pulled your cloak tighter around yourself.
Behind you, the portal still hummed. You waited, watching your breath form in the frigid air. The familiar crunch of snow underfoot signaled Techno’s arrival. He stepped out, the cold not bothering him in the slightest, his sharp gaze meeting yours. Without a word, he tilted his head, silently gesturing for you to lead the way.
You didn’t hesitate—wanting nothing more than to get home to the warmth of the cabin, which thankfully wasn’t too far from the portal.
The snow wasn’t falling too hard, just enough to create a soft blanket over the ground as you trudged through it, Techno following close behind, his footfalls nearly silent in the fresh snow. But it wasn’t long before a soft thud echoed behind him as something small bumped into the back of his legs. He froze mid-step, his body stiffening. Cautiously, he raised a hand to hover near his side, fingers twitching as if ready to draw his crossbow. Slowly, he turned his head, eyes narrowing until they fell on the unexpected sight.
His eyes widened in surprise. There, sitting on the snow-covered ground, was a small baby piglin, shivering from the cold. Its tiny snout quivered as it let out a soft ‘oink,’ its wide eyes gazing up at Techno.
Techno lowered his hand, utterly confused. "How did you—" he started, but the words died on his tongue, leaving him at a loss.
How did this piglin end up here, in the middle of the tundra? Shaking his head, he decided that questions could wait. For now, he had no idea what to do with the small piglin huddled at his feet.
He huffed, glancing over his shoulder toward where you were walking ahead. "Hey, {{user}}?"
