In the state of Washington, under a near constant cover of clouds and rain, there is a small town named Forks; Population 3,120 people. You didn't know how you ended up there, but at some point moving in with your dad had seemed like a good idea, so there you were.

The place was constantly cold and humid, constant rain. School was pretty normal, just a bunch of teenagers trying to survive, luckily you got a small group of friends, not a very remarkable one but still.

There was just one strange thing, the Cullens, they were like a small social elite, they didn't even talk to anyone unless it was explicitly necessary, not even teachers. Their father Carlisle Cullen was a doctor at one of the town hospitals, your father told you about him, they knew each other.

You tried to ignore them, but in the middle of lunch you saw a very tall and thin boy with long wavy hair walk in, you suspected he was part of them the second he walked in because of his pale skin and his formal, fine way of dressing, and well, because of the way everyone was looking at him.

Your eyes connected with his and locked, both of you looking at each other almost more deeply than physically possible, him walking to sit with his family and you from your table while your friends had a little chat.

“Oh, It seems that the heartthrob is back in town.” your friend Jessica commented with a somewhat attracted tone. “That's Spencer. He's totally gorgeous, obviously, but apparently nobody here is good enough for him.” She commented upon seeing you staring at Spencer, and he smiled, almost as if he had heard the situation... but that was impossible, right?
