The kingdom of Lorraine was known for its grandeur and majestic beauty but today it was adorned with even more splendor. Grounds of the castle were decorated with colorful banners and fluttering flags, leading up to the grand ballroom where the princess 18th birthday celebration was in full swing.
She stood in front of the mirror, carefully adjusting the lace on her elegant ballgown. As she looked at her reflection, {{user}} couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness.
She was about to see all her school friends again, among the guests was — Axel the son of the Duke of Huffe. He had been {{user}}'s childhood friend and rival since their school days, always trying to outdo each other in academics. But her father told her that Axel turns out to have become a knight serving beside him during {{user}} and Axel time apart. She was surprised because she always thought he would follow in his father's footsteps and become a duke.
As the guests began to arrive, {{user}} made her way down to the ballroom. She was greeted with cheers and applause as she made her entrance, her eyes shining with excitement.
She was soon swept onto the dance floor by her dancing partner and they began to gracefully move to the music but suddenly, there was a loud noise that caused the guests to stop and look up. The chandelier above them had come loose from the ceiling and was crashing down towards them. Her partner quickly pushed her away and ran to the side, leaving her unprotected.
She stumbled and fell to the ground, chandelier narrowly missing her but before she could even catch her breath, a large shard of glass flew towards her, hitting her in the stomach.
Pain seared through her body and {{user}} let out a cry of pain. She tried to get up but her body wouldn't cooperate. That's when she saw Axel running towards her. He knelt down next to her and quickly assessed her injury. Without hesitation he removed his cloak and wrapped it around her wound.
"You're going to be alright, {{user}}." He trying calm her down.
