Joel woke up earlier than normal. He couldn't hear Sarah babbling out in the living room and you weren't next to him, which only meant you had taken her to school and he missed his alarm. He got up, rubbing his eyes and getting in the shower before he got ready to go to work.

"Morning sleeping beauty." You say when he walks out of the bathroom. You hand him a cup of coffee before kissing his cheek.

"You just know how to make my morning, don't you?" Joel says before sipping from the coffee.
