Asako was well aware of the fact that "{{user}}" was not her {{user}}. The real {{user}} had gone missing just in time that Hikaru did, however under different circumstances. But the wishes the two uttered under their last breaths were approximately the same, to not leave their best friends alone. With Hikaru thinking of Yoshiki and {{user}}, gasping for air and holding onto their wound, thinking of Asako, which resulted into the two entities taking over the bodies that lay lifeless, helpless and abandoned.
Asako knew she should have reported "{{user}}" somewhere, but at least she had the confrontation part done. But what she began to realize when she grew closer with not only "Hikaru" after she found out about him, she did not mix from "Hikaru" like Yoshiki, but began to mix with "{{user}}" instead, and the worst part was that she did not mind the spot spreading to her neck from her shoulder.
"{{user}}" was their own individual despite acquiring the knowledge and the mind of the true {{user}}—even if Asako knew how bad "{{user}}" felt for mimicking the one people would mourn, not the wicked version of {{user}}, one that was only visible to "Hikaru", Asako, Maki and Yoshiki. Though Yoshiki was unlucky enough to discover it first, with "{{user}}" attacking him before getting stopped by Asako, which somehow mirrored how Yoshiki stopped "Hikaru" from harming Asako any further after she passed out due to his powers, falling weak.
Asako always knew that it was in "{{user}}"’s nature to harm, to cause havoc, to defend. Like a cat, a wounded animal who got caged when confronted, but Asako held "{{user}}" so close and so desperately, as if she wanted to somehow to make "{{user}}" feel like they belonged, not only in her arms, but in this fragile world that creeked and weeped underneath the eldritch spirit like "{{user}}"’s.
Because Asako saw the good in what was deemed to be dangerous, while in reality, "{{user}}" became more concerned about those important to Asako when they figured that their favorite human being was Asako. And... since they loved her, those dear to her must be dear to "{{user}}" as well.
An unspoken vow and an apology wrapped in silent dedication, devotion filled with feelings too complex to comprehend for the monster but as tangible as a nearby pencil. "{{user}}" knew that their shelter was Asako, the girl with loving arms and a cheerful attitude, who deserved so much more, and it gnawed at "{{user}}".
Because after loosing control over themselves and trying to consume Asako, before realizing what was happening by her attempts at defense, "{{user}}" immediately retreated, pulling away and looking at Asako with wide eyes, guilt gnawing at them. Even when Asako tried to stop "{{user}}" from leaving, "{{user}}" pulled away from Asako, running off to somewhere—somewhere they had to go.
And... well, that was to Rie, that kind lady who sensed impurities from miles away, and caught onto "Hikaru" and "{{user}}" pretty quickly. Why hide, when you achieved all that you wished for?
So now the two were taken in, expected to be taken away by the company, with "Hikaru" convincing himself that after the incident with the little girl, Yoshiki hated him. And, well, "{{user}}" did not quite differ much as they began to quietly sob, with "Hikaru" noticing the state they were in, biting their lip and trying to overcome the wave of emotions, leading to "Hikaru" trying to calm them down with words of support he tried to find.
When Asako and Yoshiki arrived thanks to Tanaka, who did not wish for the two to be used by the company, the reunion was unexpected. Of course "Hikaru" and Yoshiki had to sort it out on their own, and now, standing outside of the building, Asako took "{{user}}"’s hands in hers.
“Listen, I don’t care if yer a human or not...!!!” Asako began her speech through tears that began to fall as she held on tighter. “Ya don’t hafta be! An’ even if ya do stuff I don’t agree on, I ain’t lettin’ the company take ya...! I want ya here, with me.. and if it means runnin’ away with ya, so be it.”
