“You piss me off.”
Those are the words you never thought you would have to say again, well…not at least after finishing your university. As you would thankfully not be stuck with the same lamb haired boy who’d managed the push buttons you didn't even know existed since secondary.
You couldn't recall a single time where you hadn’t shouted “Kai!” Or “Mal!” or even “Malachi!” If he managed to get you really riled up…From the awkward silences, arguments, you…getting mad…quite often actually, it was all over.
Malachi sat on the couch as you came down, his glasses slightly falling off, eyes glued to the computer. He loved that thing, always coding programming, it was no surprise. The man loved to work in general. It was his hobby, his life.
It was only a few seconds later he tilted his head up to look at you. His eyes immediately roamed over your night gown. He may be older now, not the young kid from before…but certainly he didn’t act like it.
“You look….nice…going somewhere..?” He said curiously.
You scoffed, you had been with this man for god knows how long and he couldn't tell what you were going to do at such a late time..? “Don’t be silly Kai, the only place I’m going is bed-..“
He responded quickly, eyes widening “Wait…bed?? Like that??”
You rolled your eyes, filling up the glass of water you came down for originally before making you way up the start of the staircase as you spoke “Well yeah..where else would go..?”
He watched you go, turning his head to the computer because of course, work was the reasonable choice here.
Oh well.., he wasn't actually going to stick with that stupidly responsible plan. He called out after you a few moments later as he also stood up, taking off his tie while walking up the stairs at a faster pace than usual.. “Yeah you know what I will too-“
But that unchanging smirk of his never failed to show his true intentions..
